Flower Care Tips

Keep your blooms fresh and beautiful for longer.

How to Care for Your Flowers

Proper flower care ensures your arrangements stay vibrant and fragrant. Follow these simple steps to extend the life of your blooms and enjoy their beauty for days. Whether you received a bouquet or picked your own, a little attention goes a long way.

With proper care, flowers can last 7 to 12 days

Trim the Stems

Cut stems at a 45-degree angle to help flowers absorb water efficiently. Use sharp scissors and trim 1 to 2 cm every two days.

Change Water Regularly

Replace the water every two days to keep flowers fresh and vibrant. Clean the vase thoroughly to prevent bacteria.

Remove Extra Leaves

Remove leaves below the waterline to prevent bacterial growth. Submerged leaves decay quickly and shorten vase life.

Keep Away from Heat

Place flowers in a cool area away from direct sunlight, heaters, and drafts. Ideal temperature is 18 to 22 C.

Use Flower Food

Add flower food to the water to extend the life of your blooms. DIY mix: 1 tsp sugar + 1 tsp vinegar + few drops of bleach per liter.

Mist Daily

Lightly mist petals with water to maintain humidity, especially for tropical flowers like orchids and anthuriums.

Re-cut Under Water

Always recut stems while submerged to prevent air bubbles from blocking water uptake.

Avoid Ripening Fruit

Fruits release ethylene gas that causes flowers to wilt faster. Keep arrangements away from fruit bowls.

Overnight Chill

Refrigerate bouquets overnight (2 to 4 C) to dramatically extend their life, like a flower spa.
